Certainly one of the earliest starts yet, today the alarm was set at 06.00 (still Sunday in the UK) this led to a groggy start, without breakfast (never recommended). Our 'bus' arrived at 7, it was a 15 seater minibus, we pick up more people, totalling 18 passengers, plus driver, 3 people did get off after just 5 minutes but it still left the rest of us like sardines. Yesterday we were complaining about the rain, but today it was the heat, the sun returned and cooked us in the van, even with windows open. After an hour and a half we stopped for a break, but in all honesty I was still half asleep. Just over 4 hours after setting off we were unceremoniously dumped in the middle of Mui Ne. Before making any crucial decisions about sleeping arrangements we got some food. We then decided on a backpackers hostel and Rob pointed us in the direction with George route finding (not really necessary on a straight road). It was only after walking for 10 minutes did I look at the map and realise we had walked 10 minutes in the wrong direction, the other 2 weren't 100% convinced but turned around anyway. After 5 minutes they had had enough of walking and got in a taxi, I meanwhile carried on on foot to the hotel. When I got there the others told me it was full. We booked into for tomorrow night but had to walk 200m further up the road to a free hotel, still extremely pleasant. We idled away the afternoon on the beach, at one point being moved along by a security guard, for seemingly no apparent reason, we just moved along, into a seafront bar (less than 5m from the surf). Dinner was an interesting affair. The whole of Mui Ne is built along one road that stretches a couple of miles, along one stretch is a whole load of beach-front seafood restaurants, we ate at one such place. George went safe and ordered squid, Rob pushed the boat out and got frog (really rather nice) and I went all out and bought an eel dish (so tasty it just slipped down..), it has to have been one of my favourite meals of the trip so far. After our meal we went to a massage parlour and got our feet eaten by a few hundred fish, it was a real struggle for me as it was so ticklish, then Rob and George got a proper foot massage, so good that Rob nearly fell asleep.
